Daniel K. West, 69, of Waldron, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014, at home.

He was born Dec. 30, 1944, in Jackson, Michigan, to Luther A. West and Mary Jane (Kelly) West.

Survivors include two daughters: Andrea M. (West) Lux and husband, Rick, of Waldron; and Lisa E. (West) Gideon and husband, Todd, of Taverier, Florida; grandchildren, Brad L. Lux of Indianapolis, Kiersten K. Lux and Daniel Gideon; brother, Christopher West of Vicksburg, Michigan; and sister, Mary M. (West) Pachmayer of Houghton, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. West was a graduate of Loy Norrix High School and Western Michigan University, both of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

He loved the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish, all baseball and played on and coached many softball teams. He enjoyed watching his granddaughter play at the Waldron Little League diamonds and watching sports on television with his grandsons.
